Everyday Stillness

These works reflect moments encountered in daily life, where attention softens and time briefly slows.

They hold small intervals of focus and stillness, allowing presence to surface within the ordinary.

  • My inspiration for this work came on a trip to the beautiful green state of Kerala, India that brought me face to face with a woman who had seen many moons. The sheer joy for life that emanated from her face and entire being seemed to come from a space from deep within, a space of wisdom. The painting seeks to capture this simple presence — a fleeting yet complete moment of joy and knowing.
